The National Research Fund’s (NRF) call for knowledge, interchange and collaboration (KIC) scientific events/travel grants is now open. The grants will support travel and event participation between 1 September 2013 and 31 March 2014 only. The KIC programme was established to contribute to the following objectives:
- Internationalising South Africa’s research platform;
- Enhancing networking within the global science system; and
- Fostering collaboration in order to improve the quality of research outputs by researchers.
Funding for KIC support is prioritised for those researchers who have not already been allocated travel support through any other current NRF grant awards.
The closing date for applications is Monday, 29 July 2013.
