The SITA/CSIR Strategic Partnership was signed in May 2013. This strategic partnership has been a complex relationship to manage due to SITA being in transition; nevertheless, SITA is a key enabler for CSIR to provide ICT services to Government and is a key partner for the CSIR. The key areas of cooperation are:
- Network Monitoring, Simulation and Modelling, DPSS led (Charl Harding)
- Smart ID Cards, MDS led (Fulufhelo Nelwamondo)
- Dr Math, Meraka led (Laurie Butgereit)
- Department-specific RDI road maps, Meraka/DPSS led (Kobus Roux)
