The National Research Foundation (NRF) invites researchers to submit proposals for joint projects in the following areas of science and technology (S&T):
- Physics, astrophysics and radio-astronomy
- Information and communications technology
- Biotechnology
- Nanotechnology and new advanced materials
- Medicine and health
- Green and renewable energy and the environment.
The call is within the framework of the Agreement of Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the governments of Italy and South Africa signed in January 1998, and implemented in February 2000.
The deadline for applications is 28 February 2014.
