Deadline 14 August 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Research Foundation (NRF) invites researchers to submit applications for\u00a0 Competitive Programme for Rated Researchers (CPRR) and the Competitive Support for Unrated Researchers (CSUR). These are discipline-based funding instruments which support principally basic research as the foundation of knowledge production in the disciplines of the Humanities, Social and Natural Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives of the funding instruments are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To contribute to the development of a sound fundamental basis to science and scholarly endeavour in South Africa, in the Humanities, Natural and Social Science disciplines;<\/li>\n<li>To contribute to knowledge production across the research spectrum and innovation value chain;<\/li>\n<li>To achieve world-class research and the associated human capacity; and<\/li>\n<li>To advance or develop paradigms, theories and methodological innovation across the research spectrum; and<\/li>\n<li>Specifically with respect to CSUR, to increase the number of rated researchers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Closing Date: Thursday, 14 August, 2014<\/p>\n<p>More information: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nrf.ac.za\/division\/gmsa\/funding\/competitive-programme-rated-y-rated-and-unrated-researchers\">http:\/\/www.nrf.ac.za\/division\/gmsa\/funding\/competitive-programme-rated-y-rated-and-unrated-researchers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Research Foundation (NRF) invites researchers to submit applications for\u00a0 Competitive Programme for Rated Researchers (CPRR) and the Competitive Support for Unrated Researchers (CSUR).
