Deadline 27 March 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Communication from the Department of Science and Technology:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2015 Calls for Proposals under the Canadian International Food Security Research Fund (CIFSRF) is co-funded by Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) and Canada\u2019s International Development Research Centre (IDRC).\u00a0 \u00a0The Call was officially launched on 2 February 2015 and the deadline for applications is 27 March 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The call will support projects that aim to develop, test and apply ways to scale up food security and nutrition innovations, particularly ones that address the needs of women small-scale farmers as core users. It will support projects that take effective, pilot-tested innovations to a wider scale of use and application, to deliver meaningful development outcomes (i.e., reaching important numbers of end-users) through the effective deployment of scaling up models, delivery mechanisms and approaches.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Proposals submitted to this call will need to include the following three key objectives, (adapted to the context of each particular project):<\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>To scale up <\/strong>effective, pilot-tested innovations, and achieve meaningful impacts at scale.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>To test <\/strong>and assess the effectiveness of creative and bold scaling up models, delivery mechanisms and approaches.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>To inform <\/strong>decision-making and public policies, at different levels and varied contexts, using evidence-based research results.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0This call for proposals will fund projects submitted by strong partnerships between research, development and business-oriented organisations from Canada and from eligible countries. Each partnership must be between two or more organisations and\/or companies.
