The meeting follows the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csir.co.za\/news\/2010\/08\/sasol1208.html\">Sasol and CSIR MoU signing<\/a> , which took place on 21 October 2010.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Berenice Lue Marais explained that the CSIR wants to ensure that collaborations do not end with the signing of MoUs, but that they move to become mutually beneficial relationships and R&amp;D Cooperation.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">At the meeting, CSIR Principal Researcher Thomas Roos said,\u201cThis meeting was a success as it provided an opportunity for CSIR colleagues and Sasol delegates to gain a better understanding of the operating systems under which the teams manoeuvre. This will ensure successful collaborations because suggestions will come from an informed arena.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">According to Berenice, the steering committee will meet again on 1 April 2011 as part of the ongoing partnership.
