The Eskom/CSIR Partnership is progressing extremely well since signed in October 2010. The collaborative R&D programme covers the following key cooperation areas:
- Demand Side Management & Energy Efficiency/ Renewable Supply Options
- Energy Storage
- Integrated Resource Scenarios
- Climate Change
- Smart Grids
- Water
- Refurbishment
To date, an Eskom R20m Task Order for CSIR has been approved. Contracts have been secured for NLC, NRE, DPSS and MSM.
