South Africa and the People’s Republic of China established formal diplomatic relations in January 1998. In 2013, the two countries agreed to launch 2 flagship projects in the field of water research as pilot projects for expanding the bilateral cooperation.
The National Research Foundation (NRF) invites researchers to submit proposals in the following areas:
Efficient utilization of water resources and
Optimizing the water energy nexus.
