The Newton Research Collaboration Programme is a component of the UK’s Newton Fund, which aims to develop science and innovation partnerships between the UK and a number of emerging countries, including South Africa, in order to promote social welfare and economic development. The programme is delivered in partnership with the Royal Society and the British Academy.
This call will fund the cost of one way or two way exchanges for 3-12 months between engineering researchers in the UK and their counterparts in South Africa. Funds of up to £24,000 are available to either bring a South African researcher to the UK, send a UK researcher to South Africa, or both.
The deadline for applications is 24 October 2014 16h00.
